Nominations

  • All nominations for Mount Isa Mines Rodeo to go through APRA Website, opens on 23/7/25 & closes on 24/7/25. Over 55’s Roping through APRA. Click Here

    All competitors must be an APRA Member or purchase a day membership through APRA. Click here Day Membership Form

  • To enter Indigenous Rodeo Championships held on Sunday 10th August email nominations@mtisarodeo.com.au

    All competitors must purchase an APRA Day Membership - form will be emailed.

    Day Member entries will close, and must be received  by 5 p.m. on the Thursday on the week prior to the rodeo to the APRA

  • All competitors must be an APRA Member or purchase a day membership through APRA. To nominate APRA Website

    Must be 17years & over to enter. Nominations will be capped & taken on a first in best dressed basis for riders within 300km radius of Mount Isa.

  • All competitors with horses or contractors bringing stock must fill out a stock movement form.

COMPETITOR FAQ’s

When can I access the rodeo grounds

Competitors cannot access the rodeo grounds until Sunday 3rd of August. All competitor camping, stock contractor camping is inside the race track at Buchanan Park. Competitors can only get access to this area via GATE A.

  • Monday 4th - no access between 4am - 8.30am

  • Tuesday 5th - no access between 4am - 7am

  • Thursday 7th - MAILMAN EXPRESS is on (races on track thursday afternoon so no crossing on this day)

Is there power?

There is limited power inside the race track, there are some industrial generators for competitors but we recommend ensuring you bring your own generator with you should you miss out on a power. There are no reserved spots for competitor camping, it is a first in best dressed basis.

HOW DO I COLLECT MY Backnumber/wristband?

Upon arrival please go to the secretary’s office to collect your back number, wristband, (1x companion wristband per competitor). We will not give you your backnumber or wristband if there are any outstanding nominations to pay, or stock movement records.

companion ?

All competitors will receive 1x Companion Wristband only. If a competitor is under 17 years of age and needs to be accompanied they too will only receive 1x companion wristband.
